  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Nicholas Zuraski -- worth a look, tender and sweet approach while based on research : Very nice book, realistic and very encouraging. It definitely acknowledges that if changes aren’t made relationships can turn toxic. This happened in my case. I was in denial of this condition FOR YEARS despite my wife’s urging me to try many things including medication. Acceptance is 1/2 the battle. I pretty much check off every symptom to this condition. One of my favorite points is the part on neuroplasticity. Those who have it have to work and work to change their habits and train their brain. Those who don’t have it but see it in their partner totally suffer. But understand not to take everything personally. It’s all a brain thing. There’s hope. Pray for me as i pray for you. • from S. B. -- VINE VOICE : Some good material, but cringe-worthy dialogue suggestions ( 3.0 out of 5 stars )
  • 1.0 out of 5 stars from GorgeousGuerilla -- Assumes you've never paid attention to your partner : This book assumes you've never paid attention to your partner or talked to them. It repeats its self constantly without actually offering any substance. And based on the reviews I had hoped there would be any kind of techniques offered but the books just repeats the issues you'll encounter over and over again without offering a single solution other than how you as the nuerotypical partner have been failing. I know I'm not a perfect partner but I also have spent the last 10 years doing the things this book says the ADHD brain needs (don't worry there are only 5 of them apparently and all of them are the same things you're already doing as a compassionate human being in a relationship). It will definitely open your eyes to what's going on and how you can go about trying to fix it. Truly awesome book! Love it! ( Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2021 )

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Wilma Espiritu-Crowley -- Highly recommended : I found this book while looking for books about organizing for people with ADHD and I thought to myself I needed this one so I can understand my husband better as he has the condition. I agree with the reviews that said it is so easy to understand. The stories shared are so relatable and the explanations gave me AHA moments when I read them. I am yet to finish the entire book but it already opened my mind to how differently wired I am from my husband and it helps me tremendously to be more patient with him and of course understanding him.
